The Bespoke Consultancy Without the Price Tag
Why Jiyanna OS offers deep, flexible care consultancy rooted in real work, not just paper-based compliance
I Didn’t Want the Title. I Wanted the Change.
I’ve been in the care sector since 2009. I started as a care assistant, then became a nurse, deputy manager, and acting manager for six months.
I never became a registered manager, not because I couldn't, but because I had a different vision.
Even when I was preparing for the role, I realised that holding the title wouldn’t give me the power to make the changes I cared about.
I was thinking about the whole system, not just a single home.
I knew that if I worked with the right provider, one who shares that mindset, we could run a home the way it should be. But that’s not easy. Providers are in this for different reasons, and that often shapes the quality of care.
Why the Usual Consultancy Model Didn’t Work for Me
I’ve done consultancy work in both care homes and domiciliary care. But when I tried to collaborate with other consultants, many were not open to it. Some felt I lacked the right experience because I hadn’t been a registered manager. I understood their concerns, but I also saw something else.
A lot of providers were looking for consultants because their managers were struggling. In most cases, it wasn’t the manager’s fault. It was a deeper issue shaped by poor systems, weak support, or conflicting expectations from the provider.
That’s when I knew the typical consultancy model wasn’t going to cut it.
It’s About People, Not Just Paperwork
We work directly with nurses, senior carers, managers, consultants, operational directors, and care home owners. Our approach is based on what the service needs. The people in our network are skilled and willing to step in when it matters. Some offer ad hoc support, others stay long-term. Either way, they care about doing things properly.
We analyse daily logs, care plans, and risk assessments to understand the real quality of care being delivered. Then we help providers act on what we find. We don’t stop at compliance.
We look at morale, supervision, shift patterns, third-party feedback, and leadership practices. We offer plans based on their needs, whether that’s staffing, systems, or help with funding. We also help providers prepare for a full handover or exit strategy if needed.
We Are Not Waiting for a Crisis
We’re not here only before an inspection. We’re ready at any point. Because our focus is not just on helping services pass. It’s helping them improve.
If we focused only on inspection outcomes, we might earn short-term fees. But that is not the point. The point is to build something that lasts. When care improves, compliance follows. More importantly, so does culture.
That is what Jiyanna OS is here to do.
